It began with a vision.

In 2011, Kayse McCanne started Bridgeway Youth Program Specialists, Inc., a non-profit organization that provides high quality programs for students and families in South Metro Atlanta. Two of our signature programs are the Fine China Conference for girls and the Elevate Conference for boys. Both programs seek to empower students to make healthy choices and to encourage stronger bonds between students and parents.

A third program, Camp Bridgeway, was introduced in October 2013. Camp Bridgeway is a FREE camp and is made possible through the partnership we have with local churches and organizations within our community. THE GOSPEL IS A FREE GIFT… AND WE THINK CAMP SHOULD BE, TOO!

Our annual fall retreat is the most important event that we hold each year. We want EVERY student to have the opportunity to attend camp and hear the GOOD NEWS that Jesus loves them! Finances should never be a barrier to the Gospel. That’s why, we have made it our goal to raise the necessary funds to cover every student who attends Camp Bridgeway. Families who have the ability are also invited to contribute to our efforts by “paying it forward” to help us meet our mission of building bridges to Christ! For now, Bridgeway is renting the Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center in Covington each year during the Henry County Fall Break, but we are eagerly looking forward to having our own campus one day!

Our mission is to build bridges to Christ by providing high-quality and empowering programs that transform our youth, strengthen families, and connect community organizations together.

She also holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Counseling and Human Services from Atlanta Christian College. Additionally, she is a graduate of the School of Worship in Jerusalem (2001) and briefly attended Bible college at Israel College of the Bible in 2003.

Since 2004, Kayse has worked and volunteered in a variety of settings serving youth and families. She has served as a school counselor, parent liaison, and paraprofessional in Henry County, as well as serving as a youth pastor and camp director for middle and high school teens alongside her husband, Joseph.

In 2011, she started Bridgeway Youth Program Specialists, Inc., and has served thousands of students and families at Bridgeway’s conferences and camps.

Kayse and her husband, Joseph, have been happily married since September 11, 2004 and live in Stockbridge. After over 10 years of infertility, in 2015 their family became complete when they fostered (and later adopted in 2016) their three amazing kids, AJ, Bryan, and Ilysa whom they met through Bridgeway's programs!

  • Joseph co-directs Bridgeway’s programs and helps to oversee camp staff and operations. He and Kayse have been married since September 2004 and have three awesome children. He has been in ministry for over 20 years and currently serves as the associate pastor at Trinity Chapel in McDonough. He has a powerful testimony that has encouraged and inspired many people over the years. He was born with an incurable disease called Cystic Fibrosis. He had his first double lung transplant at the age of 31 in October 2009. A little over seven years later, after experiencing sudden organ rejection, he had a SECOND double lung transplant in March 2017. He is a living, breathing, walking miracle and truly a testament of God’s power at work!

  • John was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1974. As a teenager, he went to Stockbridge Assembly of God church and was very involved in the youth ministry. John thanks God that he had great youth pastors, as it impacted his life in a major way. So much so that he decided to pursue the ministry and work with youth.

For ministry training, John attended Master‘s Commission in Phoenix, Arizona. Following his training, he spent the the next 10 years working on staff at Rescue Atlanta Inner City Ministry, working with youth and children living in the housing projects of Atlanta. Following Rescue Atlanta, John worked with Soldiers for the Cross Youth Ministries, doing weekly outreach in Atlanta.

John has been on staff at Camp Bridgeway for many years as the Camp Activities Director, or as we like to call it, the “Camp Carburetor.”

Over the last 11 years, John has also teamed up with Fathers House International to do local youth ministry and feeding programs. He’s also been involved in serving an international ministry in Guatemala City, Guatemala.

“God has been amazing in my life over the years. He has opened a lot of doors for me to do ministry and it has definitely impacted my life.”

  • Adrianne aka “Andi” is the younger sister of our co-director, Joseph McCanne. She has been with her husband Jeremy for 26 years. Together, they have four children and pastor the online campus at Christ Fellowship Church in Dawsonville, Georgia. Andi has a heart to see teens and young adults come into the truth of who God says that they are. She has been the emcee for Bridgeway’s Fine China Conference since it began in 2011. She loves Jesus and she loves people! In addition to serving on the pastoral staff at her church, she also runs a successful t-shirt company called The Jones Cotton Co. and supplies all of our camp shirts!
